Only 5,588 Buick Century Convertible – Model 66C cars were produced by Buick, a Division of General Motors, in 1955 equivalent to 0.76% share of all 1955 Buicks. The 1955 Buick slogan was “Thrill of the Year is Buick” and the Century was nicknamed the “Bankers Hot Rod” due to the shorter chassis and being equipped with a 322 Fireball V8 engine producing 236 maximum horsepower and 330 ft-lbs of torque coupled to a Dynaflow automatic transmission.

BRIEF STORY OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE:
This “ragtop” was acquired in 2023 in the State of Texas where the previous owner performed an older 7 years complete and an extensive frame up restoration to its original condition. The only modification is an engine cam for better performance and a electric fuel pump to complement its original mechanical pump. The Century has won multiple awards and holds a Buick Club of America (BCA) Senior Preservation status under the previous owner. The car resides now in South Florida where it is been enjoyed and where it has participated in many Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) South Florida Region car shows and various local car expositions.
