Fellow Members,

Summer has certainly made its presence known this year. With soaring temperatures, high humidity, afternoon rain showers, and the occasional bout of vapor lock, it hasn’t exactly been ideal weather for car shows or even a quick drive around the block, especially for those of us whose classic cars don’t have the luxury of air conditioning. Even so, I still believe we live in one of the best places to enjoy this hobby. Despite the heat and rain, our members have continued to support the club by participating in local car shows, Cars & Coffee gatherings, and the Miami Springs Fourth of July celebration. Your enthusiasm and dedication are what keep our region thriving.

I encourage you to take a moment to read the Board Minutes and learn more about the efforts of our Officers and Board of Directors. These dedicated volunteers are continually working to develop new ideas, organize events, and create opportunities that benefit our 223 and growing, active member families. It’s also been exciting to see the positive response to holding some of our general membership meetings at locations where we can not only learn more about the care and maintenance of our collector vehicles but also spend more time enjoying each other’s company. Building friendships is just as important as preserving the automobiles we all love.

Be sure to visit our website and stay tuned for upcoming events, including the Club Picnic on September 19, the Naples Drive & Dinner Cruise on October 10–11, and the Deering Estate Vintage Auto Show on November 15.
