President Tomas Hernandez

April 2024

Hi South Florida Region members,

Manny Garcia and I had the pleasure to go and represent our club at the AACA National Convention this past February in Chantilly, Virginia. While we were there, I was approached by several of the national board members who are still talking about our National show last year, and who also want us to host a tour somewhere in South Florida in the near future. I want to congratulate Jean Hawa for winning a National Award for Sidelights and Ed Medina for winning a National Award as Webmaster. I am proud to inform you that National is using our club website as a template for all the regions and chapters.

On another note, for our February membership meeting we had a great speaker, Nelson from iDetailMiami. He spoke on how to take care of the interior and exterior of our cars. We had a great turnout of members who enjoyed the meeting. If you guys ever have any suggestions for a guest speaker, please let me know.

On March 3rd, the Biltmore Classic Auto Show took place in the city of Coral Gables. This was a judged show using AACA national guidelines. On Thursday before the show, we had 110 registrations. Then, we had a great turnout with 111 cars on the day of show. There were awesome cars and trucks and awesome people too. Everyone had a chance to go to Carnaval on the Mile (across the street from our car show) and enjoy lots of food from different vendors, music and entertainment. Another great event was Winston Park Car Show at the Winston Park HOA Clubhouse on the 16th of March. Teaming up with the Mustang Club of South Florida, it was a great turnout full of beautiful antique cars

Thanks,
Tomás Hernández, President
