BRIEF MANUFACTURER DETAILS AND SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF CAR:

The Fiat 124 Sport Spider is a convertible sports car marketed by Fiat for model years 1966–1985. Designed by and manufactured at the Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina factory, the monocoque, front-engined, rear-drive Sport Spider debuted at the November 1966 Turin Auto Show with styling by Tom Tjaarda.

The Fiat 124 Sport Spider was designed by Pininfarina and styled in-house by Tom Tjaarda.[6] The 124 Sport Spider, 124 Sport Coupé and 124 sedan share much of their running gear, and in the case of the coupé the same platforms. The Sports Spider uses a shorter platform along with a shorter wheelbase, and in contrast to the Pininfarina-styled and manufactured spider, Fiat designed and manufactured the coupé in-house.

BRIEF STORY OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE:

This beautiful car arrived in Rockford Illinois on June 1st 1979, just a couple months after being Design and Manufactured at the Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina factory. It was sold by Steve Hall one of the best salesmen at Bill Hembrough motors. The Fact we have all these documents and information makes this car a unique part of history in Italian imports in the 1970s.This Fiat Spyder Pinifarina with its 2.0 liter it was one of the best cruisers 2-seater cars of the decade. This car had only 2 owners that kept it in prestige condition to resemble 100% detail from 1979.

This amazing Hobby gives us the opportunity to revive experiences that were lived by our ancestors that shared our same passion for cars many decades ago.

While I drive this car to the movie theater on Sunday nights with my wife, it makes me think about how in 1979 there was a 40-year-old car aficionado same as me that was taking his wife to the autocinema of that decade. All the history involved in this car for many decades and all the secrets that have been kept within the windows of the previous owners is what makes this Fiat unique in its class
