BRIEF MANUFACTURER DETAILS AND SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF CAR:

Considered by some collectors as the most elegant Ford Cabriolet ever built. This example, in beautiful “bambolina blue,” was restored multiple times by past S. Florida AACA President Harry Goebels. Features include original 221ci V8 21-stud flathead engine, AM radio, banjo steering wheel, greyhound hood ornament, rumble seat, and rear mounted spare with correct hard cover! Simply beautiful.

BRIEF STORY OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE:

Harry restored this car himself multiple times. Unlike many, Harry drove his cars. He used them as they were meant to be used–touring all over the United States. One example is that Harry and his family drove this car several thousand miles to Mt. Washington, an ultra-prominent mountain in the state of New Hampshire. It is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288.2 ft. He and his family drove this venerable Ford up and back down the mountain, scoring a bumper sticker indicating that “This car climbed Mt. Washington.” Well done Harry. Well done.
