BRIEF MANUFACTURER DETAILS AND SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF CAR:

Ford Motor Company introduced its De Luxe Ford line in 1938 as an upscale passenger sedan. This beautiful burgundy example was restored by Past S. Florida AACA President Al Roscoe. It is presented in his memory. The 40 Ford contains a smooth 221 ci flathead V8, a “3 on the tree” manual shift transmission, whitewalls, rear suicide doors, AM radio, a 6-volt electrical system and a host of Ford accessories. It is truly an exceptional car in honor of an exceptional man.

BRIEF STORY OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE:

This car was a favorite of our AACA South Florida Past President Al Roscoe. Al was an amazing person and a great Club President. He recruited countless car enthusiasts to join our club. Al also tirelessly served our National Club (AACA) as one of the most decorated judges in history. Personally, Al was a natural savant. He was an accomplished businessman, a juggler, a magician, a singer, a dancer, a comedian, and so much more. He was a true friend to all.
