BRIEF MANUFACTURER DETAILS AND SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF CAR:
The 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was the last year for the C3 body style’s convertible option and featured self-restoring front and rear bumpers with a single-piece, body-color urethane rear cover. It came with a single 350 cubic inch V8 engine option (either 165 or 205 horsepower), a new ignition switch on the steering column, and standard catalytic converters. The self-restoring front and rear bumpers featured a one-piece, body-color urethane cover at the rear, a change from the previous year’s two-piece bumper. Only one engine size was available for the 1975 model year: the 350 cubic inch V8. The base engine produced 165 horsepower, while an optional L82 engine offered 205 horsepower. Standard features included a revised dashboard with map pockets, a reduced 15-inch steering wheel for easier entry, and standard headrests. The “Stingray” script was now written as one word.
