BRIEF MANUFACTURER DETAILS AND SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF CAR:
A Ford F-250 Custom Explorer typically refers to a specific classic model from the 1970s, specifically the 1973-1979 F-250. These trucks are recognized for their “Highboy” factory lift, ruggedness, and the “Explorer” package which added unique badging and upgraded interior features. Common details include a high stance, a classic square-body design, a chrome grille and bumpers, and unique striped cloth seats, often combined with a heavy-duty suspension for off-road performance
BRIEF STORY OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE:
This Ford F-250 spent the first 40 years of her life in Los Angeles, lightly used for transporting the owner’s landscaping equipment. The truck was rarely seen on the streets, and maintained it’s elegant look with original parts. A few minor upgrades in 2024 (carb, wheels, struts, radiator clutch, bands, electric fuel pump) has the truck road ready, even as an every day vehicle. The truck was my roadtrip vehicle from Los Angeles to Denver, and was then shipped to Miami, it’s new forever home.
